International Applicants

MIT International Graduate

The Terry evening Master of Internet Technology (MIT) program is a part time program, which does not qualify international applicants for a student visa. As an alternative we offer a MA degree in Business Administration, in which students may take the MIT course sequence, plus an additional elective course each term. Although the degree is a MA, the student has the MIT emphasis in their program of study. The MA option offers all the benefits of being a MIT student and satisfies the full-time requirement for a student visa. Applicants who wish to apply for the MA program should indicate this on their MIT supplemental application.

Projects benefit students by giving them extensive experience in project management as well as design and coding of Web applications using the latest technology. The projects benefit their sponsors by providing them with problem solutions at a fraction of the market cost.

International applicants must submit the following application materials in addition to the materials listed on the Admissions and Application page:

  • TOEFL Score
  • Certificate of Finances
  • Financial Certification Statement & Visa Information

Please carefully read the instructions below before proceeding. The Graduate School's admissions instructions provide the definitive resource for these requirements.

TOEFL Score

Non-native English-speaking applications need to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Official scores must be sent directly from the testing agency. Applicants who are confident in their English may ask The Graduate School to waive this requirement. For more information about TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), visit the TOEFL website.

Certificate of Finances and Supplemental Requirements

International applicants are required to complete the Certificate of Finances form to prove their ability to pay for at least 2 years of study. Please complete the Financial Certification Statement & Visa Information form found on the The University of Georgia Graduate School's Supplemental information web site for their records.

International students should review the The University of Georgia Graduate School's requirements for any additional requirements that must be completed such as Visa information.
